Comparative study of antibacterial herbal gels with chlorhexidine gel for gum disorders

Abstract
This review compares the benefits of antibacterial herbal gels to
regular chlorhexidine gel. Many herbal extracts are available as gels to help
maintain healthy dental hygiene. Poor oral hygiene is mostly caused by plaque
formation and a rise in oral bacteria. Herbal gels like neem, clove oil, Bakul,
babul, curry leaves, and others are effective at controlling plaque and
reducing gingivitis, making them a safer alternative to chlorhexidine.
